You’re never too old for braces! As long as your teeth and gums are still healthy, we can effectively shape your smile. Come in for a consultation with us so we can assess your smile and form a treatment plan for you.

Everyone’s treatment plan is 100% custom made, so there isn’t one answer on length of treatment. On average, comprehensive treatment with braces or aligners takes between 12 and 36 months, but we will give you a specific treatment length estimate at your orthodontic consultation.

Braces shouldn’t hurt you, but your teeth will feel tender after fitting and adjustment appointments. If you eat a soft diet and take over-the-counter pain relief, you should feel better in a few days. It’s possible for discomfort to last up to a week, but if you are experiencing issues, please contact our team.

If you notice that a bracket has come loose, please call our practice and we can schedule an appointment to have it repaired. Don’t worry though, a broken bracket is not an emergency!

You may feel slight pressure around the area where the TAD has been placed. The first few days after the procedure, you may feel some slight discomfort which can be managed with over-the-counter pain relief.

Usually, movement of a TAD is nothing to become concerned about. If it is extremely loose, we can schedule an appointment to amend it for you.

Invisalign® clear aligners are made from medical-grade, high molecular weight, thermoplastic polymers. These discreet materials were selected for their safety and long-term history of FDA approval.

If you happen to lose or break an aligner, please contact us as soon as possible so we can adjust your treatment plan. We may ask you to move onto your next set of aligner trays.

If your RME appliance comes loose on one or both sides, you should call our practice to schedule an appointment for reattachment. In the meantime, you can try to push it back into place.

If you have an appointment scheduled in the next 48 hours, you don’t need to have your separators replaced. If you won’t see us in that period of time, please contact us so we can schedule an appointment.
